In 2 open-label, non-comparative, multicenter, long-term studies evaluating atopic dermatitis (AD) patients treated with Protopic Ointment, including:

  • A study of nearly 8,000 patients21
    • 3,964 adults
    • 3,959 children (2 to 15 years of age)
  • A study of up to 4 years duration20
    • 408 adults
    • 391 children (2 to 15 years of age)

The incidence of skin infections was low in both studies.20,21

  • Consistent with previous reports of skin infections in patients with AD
  • Consistent with previous studies in eczema patients treated with Protopic24
